TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2ND – GOURMET FESTIVAL DINNER AT L’ALBERETA

On Tuesday, December 2^nd L’Albereta hosted the last appointment of the eno – gastronomic journey created by Relais & Chateaux to celebrate its first 60 years of history: 4 hands – dinners telling a meeting not only between Chefs, but also between territories, products and families. An empathy that arises spontaneously and it is shared joyfully with guests taking part to the event.
Yesterday at L’ Albereta Fabio Abbattista, Chef of #LeoneFelice restaurant, welcomed the Vivalda family, Chef of Antica Corona Reale for an exciting trip on the scent of white truffle of Alba. Smiles, talks, emotions and special toasts with Pommery and Bellavista Franciacorta for the final greeting in the kitchen.

Part 6: 24 Nov. at KOBE KITANO HOTEL in Kobe, Hyogo

Welcoming over 70 guests with Möet & Chandon Champagne and starting from passionate Flamenco dancing performed by a dancer, Ms.Maya Higashinaka from Kobe region for the last celebration dinner in Relais & Châteaux Japan.

Followed by the performance, BMW Japan Seles director as well as Möet & Chandon brand ambassador’s celebration addressed, Grand Chef & General Manager, Hiroshi Yamaguchi from Kobe Kitano Hotel & Grand Chef Patrick Bertron from Relais Bernard Loiseau, Saulieu – France, both chefs had a speech with some jokes which tells a guest how much their chefs are closed relationship. Both chefs used to work together at Relais Bernard Loiseau such a long time and succeeded to a great chef, Bernard Loiseau for current time with his chef spirit.

During the dinner, both chefs friendly talk & explained how enjoy the dishes to each table for over 70 people more than 2 -3 times. Some of guests came to the event because of big fan of Chef Yamaguchi and Chef Bertron.

The special “DUO” dinner course menu started from Amuse-bar, a soup with seasonal truffle, Foie Gras Poelée, Fish & Beef main dishes and ended by a few special desserts with Yogurt sorbet covered by rich VALRHONA chocolate with Nespresso coffee.

French-French and French-Japanese DUO menu was delightfully made the moment, that met up newly released Möet & Chandon Grand Vintage 2006.

After the event, some of guests continued the party with both chefs at the hotel bar to enjoy the discussion!

GOURMET FESTIVAL @ CASTEL FRAGSBURG THE 4TH OF NOVEMBER

Mr. Ortner, owner of Castel Fragsburg in Merano presented the two chefs, Luis Haller and Heribert Diertich of the Hotel Walserhof Klosters in Switzerland, and welcomed all guests, very proud to be part of Relais & Châteaux family.

At the end of the dinner, the tasting cake was presented, filled with raspberry cream and covered with Valrhona white chocolate, that was prepared by the pastry chef Raffaele.

All the guests were really pleased, and the property was very proud to welcome BMW customers.

60TH ANNIVERSARY @ RESTAURANT TOQUE!, OCTOBER 29 AND 30

Mauro Colagreco, world-renowned chef from Restaurant Mirazur in Menton, on the Côte d’Azur, bordering France and Italy, and Normand Laprise of Restaurant Toqué! in Montreal created a unique menu for lovers of inspired grand contemporary cuisine.

Born in Argentina of Italian origins Maurio Colagreco moved to France in 2001. He soon reached the top of the profession with his cuisine that is beyond trends and close to the terroir.

Chef Laprise, is renowned for his exceptional creativity, love and commitment to local products.

These two chefs combined their talents during two exceptional evenings : intuition and explosion of contrasting flavors of Mauro Colagreco with Québec’s contemporary and innovative gastronomy of Normand Laprise.

60TH ANNIVERSARY @ MANOIR HOVEY, OCTOBER 16 AND 17

For the occasion, Le Hatley restaurant’s Chefs Roland Ménard and Francis Wolf welcomed Mariano Gallego of Cavas Wine Lodge located in the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina for an unforgettable evening.

The event began with a cocktail reception pairing Argentinian wine and hors-d’œuvres, followed by a tasting menu comprised of the finest in seasonal offerings. The dinner featured signature dishes by all three chefs. Served wines also came from Argentina and Quebec.

Managing director of the Manor house Hovey, Jason Stafford judged that it was important to underline the 60th anniversary of Relais & Châteaux. “This network represents the spirit of all which we want to make at home, to North Hatley “.

GOURMET CELEBRATION @ HOTEL COPERNICUS, KRAKOW

On the 17^th of October many food connoisseurs found their way along the oldest street of Krakow, the Kanonicza Street, with one destination in mind: Hotel Copernicus, the evening’s host of a celebration for the senses.

Marcin Filipkiewicz, head chef at Hotel Copernicus, welcomed Simon Taxacher, Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux of the Hotel Restaurant Spa Rosengarten (Kirchberg / Kitzbühel, Austria). After a delicious Champagne aperitif, guests were served seven courses that focused on Simon Taxacher’s signature combination of French and Mediterranean cuisine.

A memorable evening with fantastic food, wine and live music enjoyed by attending friends, guests and partners alike.

60TH ANNIVERSARY @ CHEWTON GLEN, NEW MILTON, 10TH OF JULY

Chewton Glen was thrilled to be a part of the Relais & Chateaux 60^th birthday celebrations.

On Thursday 10th July, we were joined by friends and very special guests from years gone by, James Martin joined forces with Luke Matthews to cook and serve a fabulous six-course gourmet dinner.

Our night was a huge success with the fireworks being a spectacular highlight, an evening to remember for years to come…

For the 60th anniversary celebrations at Gilpin, we set out to showcase dishes that individually defined each decade from a culinary perspective.

It was both a privilege and an honour to explore the heritage of Relais & Châteaux, and it emphasised to us that standards that have been synonymous with Relais & Châteaux across six decades remain at the cutting edge of the guest experience in the 21st century.

We had a fabulous evening, with wonderful feedback from our guests.

FEEL THE TASTE OF HERTELENDY KASTELY @ GRAD OTOCEC

After an amazing joint gourmet evening at Relais & Châteaux Hertelendy Kastély, the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Grad Otočec returned the favor.

On Friday, the 10^th of October 2014, head chef Dejan Pavlič welcomed Zsolt Hampuk in his castle kitchen.

Together with their teams, they prepared six courses, each one a representative of the chef’s culinary philosophy to use fresh, local ingredients and flavors to create artful and daring combinations, delightfully surprising the guests. While the chefs were busy adding finishing touches to their creations, guests had the chance to admire the BMW models on display in the majestic inner courtyard of the hotel.

All in all, a wonderful evening with exceptional food and wine enjoyed in an idyllic setting!
