We have had a great success with wines from the Newton Johnson Family Vineyard, which is based in the Hemel en Aarde Valley near Hermanus. The Soils are mostly granite. The winery makes delicious Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and we have particularly enjoyed “Granum” a syrah/mourvèdre blend which has some Northern Rhone character.
